Application

1. Polymer production

It is widely used as a solvent for spinning polyacrylonitrile polymer.

2. Extraction solvent

It has excellent solubility of aromatic compounds, unsaturated hydrocarbons and sulfur compounds.

3. Solvents and raw materials for pesticides

Pesticides that are difficult to dissolve in other solvents dissolve easily in DMSO, which enhances the effect of the pesticide.

4. Solvents for dyes and pigments

Using DMSO as a solvent for dyes and pigments can improve stability. The coloring quantity of organic pigments will be improved by adding DMSO.

5. Stripper

DMSO can be used as a remover, and if DMSO is added to a paint remover, the effect can be improved. DMSO is especially effective in removing epoxy coatings.

6. Rust inhibitor

Used as a solvent for some rust inhibitors. DMSO itself can also inhibit the growth of microorganisms.
