1.Description

The pure Pharma Grade paracetamol (acetaminophen) product is a colorless crystal, while the industrial product is a whitish or yellowish crystal. Specific gravity 1.517<4>melting point 186-189 degrees, soluble in hot water, insoluble in cold water and alcohol, insoluble in benzene and chloroform, soluble in alkali, sublimes after heating and partially decomposes. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) Pharma Grade is stable in weak acid and easily oxidizes and discolors in alkaline solution or finished product with water. This product is toxic and may cause a wet itch when touched to the skin. Paracetamol can be obtained by acetylation of p-aminophenol and can be used as a plastic monomer polymerization inhibitor, rubber antioxidant, vulcanization, azo fur dye intermediate, developer, etc.
