May 05, 2021
If people are exposed to too much sodium tripolyphosphate, it will cause obvious eye irritation and cause dermatitis. If people inhale this substance, it can cause nausea, vomiting and other intestinal reactions.
Consumption of sodium tripolyphosphate is based on data from animal experiments through consumption of low levels of toxicity. Very large consumption can cause nausea, vomiting, cramps, abdominal pain, diarrhea and severe inflammation of the stomach and intestines.
Inhalation may cause inflammation of the nose, throat, or respiratory system. Symptoms may include coughing, sneezing and chest discomfort. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
