CHLORAMPHENICOL LEVO
It is produced by Streptomyces venezuelans and is currently synthesized. It can also be prepared for application to palm or amber ether. Bitter taste. Soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, propylene glycol. Stable in a dry state, stable in a weak acid and a neutral solution, does not decompose when boiled, and easily breaks down in an alkali.
Application
It is a broad-spectrum antibacterial antibiotic and is the drug of choice in the treatment of typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever. Secondly, it is used to treat various infectious diseases caused by sensitive microorganisms.
